Itinerary
Day One
Fly to Toronto and transfer to your first hotel for a three-night stay. This evening, step outside - or remain in the climate controlled comfort of the city's 27-kilometre PATH interconnected shopping and entertainment system - to begin to explore.
Day Two
This morning, join our optional guided city tour for an insight into one of North America's most delightful cities.
Day Three
Today's unforgettable included excursion is to the incredible Niagara Falls, one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Take in the unforgettable views on an optional 10-minute helicopter ride, and perhaps join us for lunch with a view at The Sheraton on the Falls Penthouse Fallsview Dining Room.
Day Four
This morning we follow the 'Maple Leaf Trail' to romantic Ottawa, Canada's beautiful administrative capital, with its Victorian houses and famous Rideau Canal, set against the leafy background of the Gatineau Hills. After a chance to explore, you'll continue to the great French Canadian province of Quebec, and to Montreal, Canada's second city. Enjoy a three-night stay in this, the country's undisputed centre of style and sophistication.
Day Five
Get to know Montreal on our optional guided city tour, which will take in the Vieux Port area and the lively Plateau Mont Royal, with its countless shops, bars and restaurants. In the evening, discover the historic grandeur of New France as you dine in style on our Festin du Gouveneur dinner show excursion.
Day Six
Today's included excursion is to charming, historic Quebec City, one of Canada's oldest settlements, with its stunning Chateau Frontenac, ancient ramparts and UNESCO-listed centre, overlooking the mighty St Lawrence River.
Day Seven
Spend a final day relaxing in Montreal, before you transfer to the airport to check in for your flight home.
Day Eight
Arrive back home, after an overnight flight.
Further Information
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
Tipping
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person's earnings. Customary gratuity to a coach driver or tour manager is about $3 per person per day; in a taxi or a restaurant leave 12-15 per cent of the bill and, in the bar, leave a dollar or so per drink.
Return flights
Passengers travelling from airports other than Heathrow and Gatwick will leave on the morning of Day Seven, and return to Toronto for their overnight flight home.
